The group of children which we bring over each year following
our fund raising, arrived safely on Monday 21st June and are
now staying with their host families. Monday to Friday we take
them out day to experience different activities and different
places aiming to be in the fresh air as much as possible to
aid recovery of their immune systems. They are all well and
have had the dental check up and will be visiting the opticians
this week. We have 4 new children in our group staying with
4 new families and they have all settled in very well.
Our
fund raising events for next years visit are being planned,
we are looking at running a Ladies night, a Quiz and curry night
for families, wine and cheese evening, and Burns Supper in January,
as well as our annual 10k in January 2011 and our second 5k
night series to start us off again. After the children return
back to Belarus at the end of July they we will be looking at
arranging all of these and will the post the dates on here as
soon as we have them arranged.
